On my first day at Oxford School, I felt very nervous. I found many friends in here. They were from Indonesia, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan and Korea.
My first lesson was Maths. At first, I thought Maths was very difficult because my teacher taught us in English. At the same time, I studied English and that helped me in Maths.

Yen Yen
My name is Yen yen. I have studied in Oxford for almost five months. Here, I have learnt so many things. I learnt English, Maths and Science.
I also met different kinds of people. Some of them were Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai and Korean. They were very friendly and kind. I was very lucky that I could study at Oxford in Singapore. That was because some of the people who wanted to study oversea did not have a chance because their parents did not have enough income for them to study oversea.

Felix
The first time I came to study at Oxford, I was so scared that I could not keep up with my Maths and English subjects. I was also scared that my new teachers would scold me.
About a few weeks, I found out that it is interesting to study here. My Maths and English teachers, Mr. Philip and Mr. Sunny, liked to joke with us. Whenever we studied, we looked serious and focused on the new things/materials that they taught us.
In my opinion, both Mr Philip and Mr Sunny were the best teachers for our class because the materials that they taught us would be used in our daily conversation.
I hope I could meet other teachers like them - friendly and helpful - when I join the government school. Thank you for teaching us new things.

Time passed quickly. I came to Singapore just three months ago ! My life had changed. In my school, I liked to talk with my best friend. And I made some new friends. They were from different countries. I am very happy to know them. For me, I disliked to hurt anyone but I always someone. Maybe, I was not a good girl.
Now, I am very happy everyday because my friend liked to talk with me. But my English teacher did not allow me to speak Chinese. I knew I came to Singapore to study English. I knew I had a good teacher in Mr Sunny.

I came to Singapore more than two months ago. I thought Singapore is a beautiful city. Its laws are very strict. In Singapore, except for Chinese, more people spoke English that any other languages. In international business, English is more widely used than any other languages. It is the language of airline pilots and air traffic controllers all over the world.

Singapore is very beautiful. This is one of my reasons why I wanted to come here. Another reason is that many foreigners are in Singapore. Because my English is rubbish, I wanted to come here to study that language.
Besides my studies, my uncle and brother always brought me to lots of places. They wanted me to know that Singapore is more beautiful that China. Moreover, my brother brought me to the restaurant to let me know that Singapore food is very delicious and clean. Also, the sea scenery is very nice.

While I was in Singapore, many things happened. There were good things which gave me an experience to keep in my memories forever. My school, Oxford, where I studied was the best school that I had ever attended.
Although it was small, it was very nice. There were friendly and helpful teachers. The teachers imparted knowledge. I had a lot of friends too. Everybody was friendly and we became close friends very fast. They were not selfish or arrogant. They always helped me whenever I needed them. We enjoyed playing together. That was my best time at Oxford and something I would not forget.

I have been in the school for a few months. I had a lot of friends. They were very nice and friendly. I also had two funny teachers. They were Mr Philip and Mr Sunny. They liked to tell jokes in class. I liked them all.
A few weeks later, we would have our test results. Then, we would go to different schools. We would not be together again like now ! So sad. But I would always remember everything we had done together. We would not forget that.

Oxford GPC is a good course. The students were all from different countries like Indonesia, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam and others. It is difficult to communicate with foreigners in our own language but with English, it was much easier.
The teachers who taught us were good. They taught well. They also have complete set of materials for the subjects they taught. Sometimes our teachers gave us games so that we could enjoy. In Oxford, I could meet new friends from other countries and also enjoy together.

At first, I did not feel really comfortable in this class. I had not known anything about my classmates, my class, my teachers and my school. It was really frustrating to remember that I was alone. I walked to MRT station and had my lunch alone. But one day, we began to mix well together – chatting and having lunch. Then I did not feel as boring as the first time. We hanged out, telling stories about our lives and laughing together. But maybe it would not be much longer.
We were going to enter government schools. I hope so too. I thought it was fine with me. Yes, but it did not mean that I love it. However, I believe that we would never forget each other – my friends, my teachers and my school. I would never forget all memories of good time that we had together.

I have been studying here for six months and this was also my first time away from home. Though I felt a little lonely I felt this is a really good opportunity to study in such a great school like Oxford. Not only am I being prepared for the A E I S test to enter into a government school, I also greatly improved my English by communicating with many friends from different countries. They were all very friendly except for one annoying boy.
Anyway, I was glad to study in this school and being taught by Mrs Christine and Mrs Jacquelyn. They were very helpful and usually treated us to many cakes and candies whenever we showed good improvement.
Finally, with the great education here, I will try my best to get into a good government school.

My name is Hentini. I am fifteen years old. I came from Tanjong Balai Kariman. I have been studying in since June 2008. The first time I came here I felt very lonely but now I have many friends. They were all very friendly to me and the whole class was very co-operative.
The subjects that we learnt were English and Mathematics. The teachers here are kind, generous and friendly. Here, I learned a lot. In Maths, I learned how to solve the problems in different method and in English I learned how to speak more frequently.
The teachers had may interesting ways to teach us. For example, our English teacher, Mrs Lim, told us some interesting quizzes to do or she will buy sweets for use to encourage us. Our Maths teacher, Mdm Jaq, would buy chocolates for us. I did not speak English in Indonesia but here I spoke English because many classmates did not understand Bahasa Indonesia. So we used English to communicate with one another.
I am very happy that I can come here to Oxford.
