My name is Sally and I come from Vietnam. I’d come to school since September last year. When I came to this school, I did not have many friends and I was not very friendly to anyone. Within a month, I was able to make friends and communicate with them. I love them so much. They are nice to me. The subject I love best is Maths, it is because I am good at it. I do like my Maths Teacher but not that much because he is always calling my parents because he wants my parents to encourage me to do better but I am working very hard. I love Science too. It is a very nice subject and I like the Science teacher. He is very funny and always let us go for lunch if we finish all our work. He is always checking all our work before we could go for lunch. I love English too, I am also good at it. I can speak and talk quite well because I have been learning English since I was five years old. In class, I have a boy who is better than me and I don’t like him because he is better! I want to be better and I shall work hard. I have two Vietnamese girls in my class. They sit next to me. I love to stay in Singapore. I know that I am very lucky because I have my family here. Unlike me, some of my friends, they don’t have their families here and they feel very sad about it. Some boys in my class are very naughty. They talk a lot. They are scared of my science teacher, it is because he never let them say a word when he enters the class. I love our officers too. They are very friendly and nice to us. In our school office, the person I love best is Auntie Mak. It is because she is very friendly and always gives us candy or bread or hot milo. She is very nice to me, she gave me an essay book so that I could learn how to write essays better. I love my English teacher too. She is a very good teacher. She always helps me If I don’t know how to do my work. She gives us much work to make us better in our English so that we can get into the Government School. I like this school so much but I also want to go to government school as soon as possible. This is because I want to wear a uniform and study many more subjects there and I feel abit sad that some of my schoolmates had gone to government school but I haven’t, so I am going to study very hard to go to the Government school like them.

My name is Michelle and I come from Vietnam. I am so lucky and happy to study here. I have made friends from all over. They want to study here like me. The school is quite big, they have many branches, but where I study, there are 4 rooms. It is a good school. The students in this school come from different countries and they speak different languages but are friends and we use English to talk. We study English, we also study Maths and Science.

This is a good combination and will help me when I am at the Government school. The Teachers work very hard to help prepare us for entry into the government school of our choice. Sometimes, the teachers get angry because we make a lot of noise. Then teachers love us a lot and treat us like their own children, They want the best from us. The lessons are very interesting and I have learnt a lot. I think Singapore is a good place to study. I like Singapore but I love my country, I’m born there. Though it is not as good as Singapore but the people in my country are simple and friendly.

Japan consists of four big islands and many other small ones. There are four distinct season. We enjoy beautiful cherry blossoms in spring. It is very hot and humid during July and August. The autumn colors are beautiful. In winter we have snowfall in the northern part of Japan and in the mountainous regions. The rainy season is in June. Many Japanese people don’t take long vacations. We take about seven days of vacation. The holiday resorts are very crowded. During vacation season, various traditional events and festival are held during the season. The express ways from Tokyo to the provinces, tend to be jammed. Recently many people have started to travel abroad for their holidays.

I am Zheng Jia Jun, comes from Tian Jin China. You can also call me Ted.

I came into this class eighteen days ago. Before I come in, I was expecting to see my old teacher who taught me last year. However, my expectation did not come true. Except for Saike, Longfei and Qijin, I knew nobody. Fortunately, everyone was kind to me, especially our teacher. Soon, I found the class, “my class”.

As the days went by, I found the number of girls are much more than boys. There are only three boys in my class. So, the boys do not have any authority in this class, just a joke!?

This year, this class, the ambience of studying is very strong. This is good for our final exam. I am very confident in other subjects, except for English,. Luckily, the teacher’s level of teaching is very high. She teaches us many skills, especially composition and passage reading. In this way, we can improve our English very fast.

My class is an O-level class a serene building called “Life-style Mall” which is located at the most bustling zone in Singapore – city Hall.

When you step in my class, you might think it is so small as compare to other spacious classes in other schools, but you will notice the friendly ambience and the conducive environment which encourages us to learn.

As I have mentioned, my classroom is not big, there are about 25 students in the class. All determined to take the “O” Level exam in order to get into Poly. Most of them are my comrades. It is good that I feel like we are no different.

Although we do not talk too much in the class. They are all very helpful when I am faced with difficulties .

During English lesson we study grammatical sentence structure. Comprehension skills as well as Essay writing. I love my English teacher, Ms Christina. She is a kind and knowledgeable woman. She not only teaches us about things in the worksheet, but also news related to the society which helps enrich our general knowledge.

In the afternoons, we have chemistry, physics, Maths and Accounts lesson. For Science and Maths, We are taught by a patient teacher, Mr. Ho. He is an expert in Science.

Our accounting teacher Mr. Philip is a handsome man, who has great sense of humour. He is always ready to explain questions that we are confused even if he has to explain many times. He would explain things again and again until we have fully comprehended.

My name is Qijia. I come from China. I am eighteen years old. Now I am studying “O” Level in Oxford. In my class have two persons younger than me, One is Ming Yi who has been in Singapore for three years and her English is very good, another one is Xun Mei who is a very clever girl and go for lunch with me everyday. This two girls are taller than me. I have a Russian friend who always sit and study with me. She works very hard. Yuan Jing who looks like Japanese girl, actually she is Chinese girl. Wang Yao who likes May-dong very much same with me. And another two girls who they my new classmates. I’m sorry for them because I can’t remember their name. In my class there are four boys, Actually only three boys, because Bowei is always absent. One week only come one time. The tallest boy is Jia Jun. Lin Jiang who is skinny boy in my class, just a joke. I always borrow his dictionary. Another boy I don’t know his name, because he just joined today. But I know he come from the same part of China as me. Long Fei and Saike have taken “O” level already. LongFei is a noisy boy but he is a kind person. Saike is always together with LongFei
